Herótom van a politikától

Teljesen elegem van a politikából, még az ún 'Lehet más a politika' nevű fajtájából is. Olvasom a híreket és hányingerem van a 9/10-étől. Hallom az ismerősöket, rokonokat beszélgetni (vitatkozni, veszekedni, anyázni) róla, látom a fórumokon, a levlistákon, a Facebookon... és sehol sem 'szép'! Sehol sem előremutató, együttműködő, kooperáló, problémamegoldó, előrevivő. Mindenütt acsarkodó, versenyző, önérdekekkel törődő, hazudó, rágalmazó, kifacsaró, undorító.

Nem vagyok annyira naiv, hogy azt mondjam, régebben másként volt. Sajnos annyira optimista sem, hogy azt higyjem, bármelyik párt vagy szerveződés is különb lenne a többinél. A rendszer rossz és igen, mi magunk, emberek is rosszak vagyunk. A demokrácia mint olyan már rég nem a legkisebb rossz, már rég nem a 'minden más rosszabb nála' kategóriája, hiszen a nagy szabadságban, versenygésben, a nagy politikai korrektségben, a nagy bürokráciában és szabályokban elvész mind a józan ész, mind a hatékonyság, mind a szabadság.

És akkor mi marad, amitől a demokrácia jó lenne?

I am sick to death from politics

I have had enough of politics. Even from the 'Politics can be different' type of it (IRL political formation in Hungary). I read the news and I want to throw up from 9/10 of it. I hear friends, acquaintances, relatives talk about it (sometimes argue, row or even insulting each other); I see it on forums, mailing lists, Facebook... and it is nowhere 'nice'! Nowhere it is forward-thinking, cooperative, problem-solving, efficient. It is always competitive, self-centered, backstabbing, lying, slandering... disgusting.

I am not so naive to say that in the 'good old days' it was different. I am not that naive either as to believe that any of the political parties or formations are better than the others. The system is wrong, and yes, we are wrong too. Democracy is for long not the smallest bad, not the 'worst except all the others tried', but simply bad. Amongst the competition, the quasi-freedom, the political correctness and the burocracy we lost all common sense, effectiveness and yes, freedom itself.

And if it is so, what remains that make democracy good...?
